2011: Groups on collision path over IBB

Ibrahim Babangida
The Youth Network for IBB 2011 and the National Democratic Forum have disagreed over the purported presidential ambition of the former military president, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida.

The youth movement had planned to launch its sensitisation rally towards IBB‘s presidency, while the NDF had vowed to lead a group to stall the comeback bid of the former despot.

The two groups spoke at different forums in Minna, Niger State capital on Friday, through the National Secretary of the Youth Network for IBB 2011, Mr. Mohammed Buhari, and the National Coordinator of NDF, Mr. Jonathan Vatsa.

Buhari told journalists in Minna that the group had met with IBB and concluded arrangement to flag-off the sensitisation campaign in one of the South-Western states in the next two weeks.

He described the prevailing rot in the nation as a major factor necessitating the need for Babangida to come out and contest the 2011 general elections, adding that the former military president had studied the nation‘s situation and would properly address the myriad of problems confronting it.

Vatsa, in his reaction, however decried the comeback bid of IBB, stating that those making such calls were enemies of the people.

He said, “Those making the calls are enemies of the country and are interested in causing confusion. We need to move away from the old brigade.

“The likes of IBB should retire for the younger generation and should learn from a nation like United States where Obama holds sway.

“Those calling for IBB‘s comeback are acting out of poverty and shortsightedness. What we saw during Olusegun Obasanjo‘s third term agenda will be a child‘s play if IBB comes back.”

He said Babangida would be another Mobutu Sese Seko.

He added, “Barely 20 years out of power Babangida has perfected the evil act. If Babangida is coming back it will be a punishment from God.”

He disclosed that the NDF would, next Monday, commence a rally against his comeback bid. He urged well meaning Nigerians to resist the move.

* Please my advice is that every body will have to stand up to frustrate this evil men in politics claiming that they are working for their country.IBB coming back as our president is disaster and doom to the Nation.Does it mean that we don`t have credible people to lead this blessed country forward other than IBB, Atiku and others. Please No 419 and Murders is acceptable

* The self–acclaimed evil genius is at it again. May God safe Nigerians from the abject poverty precluding our rightful thinking. IBB again at what age? and of what new agenda? after 9 years of destructions in office, the master coup d’etat is at it again, Nigerian should be vigilante

* Lel IBB come back. Nobody should preach to him not to come back. Mark my word,it is pay time for him. It is time for him to exit this world and join Abiola and co where he sent them.People glamouring for his return know what they are doing. My advice for IBB:it is not quite long that you lost your wife,so you still have years to mourn her. Please do that for her she will appreciate that in the grave. Besides, allow the fresh blood in the system.IBB,you have ruled us enough.

This man should go and mourn his late wife than trying to impose himself on Nigeria. but what the heck is him looking for again after all he has done? well i guess we should support the NDF to frustrate his coming back he should remember that Nigerians are not fool.......

pls nigerians let us ones think of this nation that our pockets all the time.i think is only a mad man can think of ibb coming back again.the man who contributed 80percent of our problem that only GOD almighty can bring us out of it.infact all those that are thinking of this evil man coming back for their selfish intrest must be punish by GOD cos they are the worst enemy of NIG.my prayer is that GOD send one like jerry of ghana to wipe out al this wicked old men that never which nig good.

NIGERIANS,

This is a Chance for the Nigerian Youths to start getting Well Organized to make sure they STOP IBB's Second Coming to Power in Nigeria. Otherwise the Nigerians Youths will NOT be worth their Salt!!

IBB's application to contest in the next year Presidential Election Must be Stopped by the Nigerian youths, by All Means Necessary. Let us start getting organized now in preparation for this confrontation. Else, the IBB's sychophants will defeat all Nigerians. Otoiheoma Egbe

ARISTOTLE A MAN OF GREAT INTELLIGENCE.

A flatterer is a friend who is your inferior, or pretends to be so.

All human actions have one or more of these seven causes: chance, nature, compulsion, habit, reason, passion, and desire.

The moral virtues, then, are produced in us neither by nature nor against nature. Nature, indeed, prepares in us the ground for their reception, but their complete formation is the product of habit.

Wretched, ephemeral race, children of chance and tribulation, why do you force me to tell you the very thing which it would be most profitable for you not to hear? The very best thing is utterly beyond your reach: not to have been born, not to be, to be nothing. However, the second best thing for you is: to die soon.

oshogbo vs canada

Here we go again folks!
Ola Kassim arguing brainlessly like Obasanjo his benefactor comparing apples with oranges. It was Obasanjo who touted the budget of the New York Fire Service in his clever by half attempt to justify his ineptitude. The Governors in Nigeria are stealing their states blind and the need of the states are great.
Ola Kassim, will a driver employed in your Canada also pound yam, wash Oga;s car, wash Madam and the children's clothes on the same salary as the Driver employed in Osogbo?
There is no basis for comparison. Nigerians abroad should help at home and at the same time hold their political leaders accountable. Both must go pari-passu and comparing Toronto with Osogbo is a No brainer!
Simple issues should not be turned into big ones simply to test one's ability to reason or debating skills.

Cheers.
